Rishi Kapoor's last film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' to release on March 31

Mumbai, March 9: Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, and his fans, friends and family members have been remembering him ever since, particularly through his timeless songs and films. And now, with Rishi Kapoor's last film, 'Sharmaji Namkeen,' is set for release and everyone will be able to witness the beauty of Rishi Kapoor's performance once more in a few days.

Rishi had shot most of 'Sharmaji Namkeen' with Juhi Chawla at the start of 2020. Following Rishi Kapoor's death, the film's producers enlisted actor Paresh Rawal to step in and finish the rest of the shoot.

The filmmakers revealed on Wednesday that the film will be available on Amazon Prime Video on March 31.

Excel Entertainment and Macguffin Pictures are producing 'Sharmaji Namkeen.' The movie is being touted as a lighthearted coming-of-age drama.

The film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' is helmed by Hitesh Bhatia.
