Sardar Kesar Singh Narula, father of Bollywood singer Dr. Jaspinder Narula, no more

Veteran Punjabi music director and father of Bollywood singer Dr. Jaspinder Narula, Sardar Kesar Singh Narula, is no more.

Kesar Singh Narula breathed his last on Friday morning at a hospital in Mumbai.

The doyen of Punjabi music direction was a trendsetter in getting the Gurbani recorded.

He had worked with several legendary singers like Lal Chand Yamla Jatt, Kuldeep Manak, Surinder Shinda, Asa Singh Mastana, Surinder Kaur, Prakash Kaur, Malkit Singh, Bhai Gopal Singh Ragi, Sant Anoop Singh, Bhai Tarlochan Singh, Bhai Harjinder Singh, Bhai Chaman Lal, Bhai Darshan Singh and Sant Singh Maskeen.

Dr. Jaspinder Narula, daughter of Kesar Singh Narula, took to Instagram and shared a picture of his late father. She captioned: "Lost our beloved father this morning!"

Dr. Jaspinder is a Punjabi singer and Bollywood playback singer.

Meanwhile, Bollywood playback singer Jazim Sharma, known for songs like Manmarziyaan and Dedh Ishqiya, commented: "Devastated with the demise of uncle Ji. Mam, you pls take care of yourself."

Punjabi singer Harshdeep Kaur wrote: "Extremely sad news... He was such a great soul. May Babaji give you strength. Please take care of yourself."
