Taliban attacks kill 7 policemen in Kabul

Seven policemen died in a Taliban attack in Northern Pul province in Kabul in Afghanistan on Saturday. According to an Afghan official, Taliban stormed into a security checkpoint, killing four policemen on the spot.

During the attack, five others were seriously wounded. Following the crash, the gunfight started between militants and the policemen. During the gunfight, seven insurgents and 3 other policemen were killed. Taliban claimed responsibility for the Northern Pul attack.

On December 25, at least 45 people were killed 25 others were injured in an Afghan government compound attack and seven-hour assault in Kabul.  The seven-hour assault began on Monday afternoon with the detonation of a vehicle bomb at the gate of the building.
