Fight breaks out between group of Maldivians and Indians; 2 injured
PTC News Desk: Two people sustained injuries after a fight broke out between a group of Maldivians and Indians near Male. The incident occurred on Monday near Central Park in Hulhumale, about 7 km northeast of Male, at around 9:00 pm.
According to news outlet Adhadhu, one Maldivian has been detained by police. The police, however, have not revealed the nationalities of those injured.
Police said that fighting occurred between a group of Maldivians and Indians inside the park and that further investigations were ongoing.
The two people who got serious injuries were taken to the Hulhumale Hospital. They were later discharged following treatment.
