Bengaluru Traffic Jam: Dominos Pizza delivery saves the day
Amid the traffic gridlock, a viral video captured two Domino's delivery agents skillfully delivering food to stranded commuters
Bengaluru Traffic Jam: Bengaluru experienced extreme traffic congestion following a citywide strike, leaving commuters stranded for hours. The Outer Ring Road (ORR) bore the brunt of the gridlock, with reports of people being stuck for over five hours.
Amid this traffic chaos, a heartwarming incident emerged. A video of two Domino's delivery executives delivering pizzas to stuck commuters went viral on social media. These delivery agents effectively used live location tracking to navigate through the traffic and deliver pizzas on time to a car, despite the challenging circumstances.
One Twitter user shared their experience, saying, "When we decided to order from @dominos during the Bangalore choke. They were kind enough to track our live location (a few meters away from our random location added in the traffic) and deliver to us in the traffic jam."

This heartwarming act garnered significant attention on social media, with nearly 3 lakh impressions on Twitter. People praised Domino's for fulfilling their 30-minute delivery promise even in such challenging situations. Many also expressed empathy for delivery personnel who consistently meet customer expectations while navigating heavy traffic.
The traffic on this particular day was exceptionally heavy, with around 3.5 lakh vehicles on the road by 7:30 pm, compared to the usual 1.5 to 2 lakh vehicles.
The traffic gridlock was triggered by a citywide strike called by farmers, backed by opposition parties, to protest the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Over 200 protesters, including prominent figures like Vatal Nagaraj and Praveen Shetty, were arrested for defying prohibitory orders and marching towards Raj Bhavan from Vidhana Soudha.
