New Delhi, June 12: Kazan Khan, a renowned actor known for his memorable antagonist roles in Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada films, has reportedly passed away due to a heart attack. The news of his demise was shared by film producer and production controller NM Badusha through a Facebook post on Monday night. NM Badusha wrote, "Famous villain actor Kazan Khan died of a heart attack."
He expressed his condolences and mentioned some of Khan's notable films like CID Musa and Varna Pakittu. Further details regarding the actor's last rites are awaited.
Actor Dileep, who had the opportunity to work with Kazan Khan in films such as CID Moosa and Ivan Maryadaraman, paid tribute to the late actor on social media. He expressed his heartfelt condolences, writing, "Hearty condolences #KazanKhan."
Kazan Khan had a prolific career spanning several decades, starring in films across different languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada. With over 50 films to his credit, he made a significant impact primarily through his memorable portrayals of antagonistic characters. Some of his notable film credits include CID Moosa, Ullathai Allitha, Mettukudi, The Don, and Naam Iruvar Namaku Iruvar, among others.
The actor gained widespread recognition in Malayalam cinema after his role as Vikram Ghorpade in Shaji Kailas' 1995 film The King, which featured superstar Mammootty in the lead role. This Malayalam film marked Kazan Khan's acting debut in the industry. He initially entered the film world as Boopathy in Senthamizh Paattu in 1992. His diverse body of work also included films like Kalaignan, Sethupathi IPS, Duet, Murai Ma man, Aanazhagan, and Karuppu Nila, among others.
