Hyderabad: In a major incident, a thief has been caught on camera while he prayed to Goddess Durga before stealing the idol's crown from a temple in Gun Foundry, Secunderabad. The incident was reported on Wednesday. The CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms.
The CCTV footage shows a man entering a temple, paying obeisance to Goddess Durga. He offers prayers to the Goddess by joining hands and taking rounds at his place only. He touches the idol's feet; he holds his ears and bows down asking for forgiveness. Also, he applies 'tilak' on his forehead.

Afterwards, he steals the idol's crown and joins his hands again. He turns behind to hide the crown inside his clothes before leaving the temple. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against him.
The video has surfaced on social media where people are reacting to the epic stuff caught on camera. 'Apologies before mistake', a twitter user replied. Another user mocked: "That's going to be a scene in tollywood movie!!" "Well, some steal and pray, others pray and steal," said another user.
