He had publicly revealed his diagnosis in November 2023 and underwent six months of chemotherapy along with five rounds of radiation. In May 2024, he marked the end of his treatment by ringing the healing bell at the Miami Cancer Institute, receiving a standing ovation from family and medical staff.
