Diljit Dosanjh's Canada concert briefly disrupted as group of Khalistan supporters raise slogans

PTC News Desk: Diljit Dosanjh's concert in Canada's Vancouver was briefly disrupted after a group of Khalistan supporters raised slogans and waived flags inside the venue.

The incident took place during Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Aura-2026’ tour show on April 23, 2026.

According to the eyewitnesses, the solgannering began midway through the performance drawing the attention of both the audience and event security. What began as vocal protest soon turned into violent escalation prompting immediate security response.

Security teams acted promptly, escorted the individuals out of the venue and restored order so the concert could continue without further interruption.

According to the reports, two individuals involved in the protes have been identifed as Pawandeep Singh Bassi and Mandeep Singh Ravi, who are allegedly linked to banned outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). However these claims have not been independently verified by Canadian authorities.

This is not the first time Diljit Dosanjh has been targeted by pro-Khalistan sympathisers and hardliner groups. During his show at Perth in Australia last year pro-Khalistan slogans were raised by a small group of Khalistan supporters. These radicals have objected and threatened him after Diljit touched the feet of actor Amitabh Bachchan at at Kaun Banega Crorepati 17.
