Good news for travellers: Good news for these 20 countries as they might get visa-free access or visa-on-arrival facilities in Indonesia soon.
In an effort to push up tourist visit and bring a multiplier effect on the economy, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has proposed issuing free entry visas to travellers from 20 countries.

The plan has been proposed for 20 countries with the highest (number of) foreign tourists, except for those with existing visa exemptions.

Britain, among others.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that the provision of free entry visas to the 20 countries is expected to increase foreign tourist visits, which will generate a multiplier effect, boosting domestic consumption, attracting investment, and supporting the development of the digital economy.
Notably, Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago, comprising over 17,000 islands. Famous for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, rich cultural heritage, and lush landscapes, Indonesia is a major tourist destination.
