Mohali, March 20: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal held a virtual meeting with his party MLAs from Punjab on Sunday. The meeting of the AAP MLAs took place in Mohali and Delhi CM Kejriwal joined it via video conferencing from Delhi. While addressing Aam Aadmi Party MLAs during the meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s instructed MLAs to be “punctual” and open their offices in every constituency to resolve people’s issues. Speaking at the meeting which was virtually attended by Kejriwal, Mann said, “our government will act without any vengeance” and stated that the party “will make Punjab colourful again.” Kejriwal motivates MLAs for good governance Addressing newly elected MLAs in the state, Arvind Kejriwal lauded them for “teamwork “ and urged them to do work for the people of Punjab, under the guidance of CM Bhagwant Mann. “The whole country is talking about Bhagwant Mann and his works,” Kejriwal said, adding “Compensation for crops damaged in October has been released and farmers will get cheques in the coming days. You all have to work together under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann. I’m like your elder brother to give guidance.” Kejriwal motivates MLAs for good governance Motivating party leaders to make Punjab “corruption-free”, Kejriwal urged MLAs to work with honesty and “respect every individual.” Further, he cautioned MLAs not to indulge in any ‘corrupt activity.’ Kejriwal also said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will set targets for each minister in his Cabinet and the people can hold them accountable if they don't deliver on the tasks and can demand change. "Bhagwant Mann will give a target to each minister and they have to do the work within the fixed time limit. You have to work day and night. If your target is not fulfilled then the people can raise demand for change of the minister," he said. Concluding the meeting, Kejriwal congratulated the party for a landslide victory in Punjab Assembly elections and lauded the party’s campaign team for showcasing the “incredible” poll campaign in the state. In the recently concluded Punjab Assembly elections, the AAP won a resounding victory, securing 92 seats in the 117-member House. Kejriwal motivates MLAs for good governance Bhagwant Mann, an AAP leader and the party’s face in the recent Punjab Assembly elections, was sworn in as the state’s Chief Minister on March 16. The newly-elected MLAs in Punjab, including Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, took oath as members of the Legislative Assembly on March 17.
