Assembly Elections 2022 Highlights: Five states of India -- Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur, and Goa -- are all geared up for the Assembly Elections 2022. Following the strict Covid-19 protocols issued by the Election Commission of India, parties across these 5 states were trying hard to pursue their voters through virtual rallies. However , the EC has now granted them permission to conduct rallies.
Elections took place in Goa , Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh (second phase) on Monday , 14th Feb 2022 The final voter turnout in Goa was 78.94 % ; Uttarakhand saw 62.5% turnout and Uttar Pradesh second phase saw 60.44% turnout . PM Narendra Modi addressed a physical poll rally in Punjab’s Jalandhar Monday and promised about making ‘Nawa Punjab.'

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed and conducted a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur and Auraiya today. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also campaigned in Firozabad and Kannauj for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
