In view of the onset of winters, the UT administration has decided to implement new winter OPD hours, which will remain in effect from October 16 to April 15, 2026. Under the revised schedule, OPD services will now operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The revised timings will be applicable to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16, as well as its affiliated dispensaries, Civil Hospital Sector 22, Civil Hospital Manimajra, and Civil Hospital Sector 45.
Currently, the OPD timings at these hospitals and dispensaries are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The administration clarified that there will be no change in the existing timings of the ESI Dispensaries in Sectors 29 and 23, as well as the U.T. Secretariat and High Court Dispensaries.
OPD timings changed for patients’ convenience
With winter approaching, the city is likely to experience increased fog during morning and evening hours. To ensure that patients coming from distant areas do not face difficulties due to cold and fog, the administration has decided to adjust the OPD timings in government hospitals.
