Principal Secy to Chandigarh Administrator tests corona positive
JM Balamurugan, 1994 batch IAS, who is Secretary to the Punjab Governor-cum-UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore has contracted the contagion disease.
JM Balamurugan has been seen attending war room meeting with top officials of UT administration, and WHO representative at Punjab Raj Bhawan.
Meanwhile, the UT administrator VP Singh Badnore and UT Adviser Manoj Parida have tested negative for the pandemic. Likewise, the Governor has asked all the UT officials, who attend war room meetings, to undergo Covid-19 testing, after his secretary, JM Balamurugan, tested positive for the novel virus.

On Saturday, Chandigarh reported 52 new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of cases in the Union territory to 1,426. In the meanwhile, the question that is being raised is why UT administration is holding war room meetings physically instead of video conferencing.
