Chaudhary Surinder Singh
Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Congress' Chaudhary Surinder Singh belongs to one of the biggest political clans of Punjab. His grandfather, Master Gurbanta Singh, father Chaudhary Jagjit Singh and uncle, Santokh Singh Chaudhary are the tallest Dalit leaders of Congress in the state. He started his political career as sarpanch of Dhaliwal village (1980-1997). Later, he became chairman of Panchayat Samiti(1994-1998), chairman of Market Committee(1996-1999) and chairman of Zila Parishad(2003-2008)-Jalandhar. In the 2017 Punjab Legislative Assembly elections, he got elected from the Kartarpur constituency. He will contest the upcoming Punjab assembly elections from the Kartarpur constituency.
