Class 10 student attacks another boy in school with knife at the playground A 16-year-old student of a government-run school in east Delhi’s Krishna Nagar was seriously injured after he was stabbed with a knife allegedly by another boy from his school at the campus playground on Thursday morning. The accused stabbed the boy at least half a dozen times, police confirmed. The incident took place at 8am after the morning assembly. The attacker was caught and handed over to the police by students and teachers of the school. During questioning, the attacker told police that he found the knife lying on the roadside while coming to school. Initial probe revealed that the two boys often bullied each other and had altercations over one issue or the other. They were classmates until last year, when the boy who attacked the other boy failed in Class 10, police said. Deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) Meghna Yadav said, “We are ascertaining the sequence of the events as well as the source through which the boy arranged the knife. We are also probing how he entered the school premises with a knife,” said Yadav. -PTC News
