Punjab Assembly elections 2022: Dera Baba Nanak is located in the Gurdaspur District of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa of Congress won the last assembly elections and is the sitting MLA of Dera Baba Nanak. He won the 2017 assembly elections by defeating Shiromani Akali Dal's Sucha Singh Langah with a margin of 1194 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 179346. 219 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 139513 votes were cast in the Dera Baba Nanak constituency and the percentage of voting held was 77.79%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates In the Dera Baba Nanak constituency, Gurpartap Singh Khushalpur contested for the 2017 assembly elections on Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) ticket. Shiromani Akali Dal gave the ticket to Sucha Singh Langah from Dera Baba Nanak constituency. In the previous assembly elections, he contested from the same constituency as an Akali dal candidate, however, lost to Sukhjinder Randhawa of Congress.
