Natural disasters often create a great havoc for common people especially for the ones who do not have proper shelters. After the Punjab floods devastated several homes, Sonu Sood and his sister have taken a significant step towards the recovery by rebuilding homes.

Over 100 Homes Reconstructed

In a major relief effort, more than 100 houses destroyed in the floods have already been rebuilt. In a recent video, Sonu Sood himself stated that the initiative has been carried out with active involvement from Sonu Sood’s sister, who has worked alongside him throughout the process. Their on-ground presence and direct engagement with affected families have helped ensure that support reaches those who need it most.

Sonu Sood said that the floods in Punjab caused a lot of problems for people, especially those who lost their homes. He and his team visited the affected areas and saw the situation themselves. Over the months, they kept checking on families whose houses were damaged or destroyed and who were left without a roof.

He stated that the Sucharity Foundation, along with the EKL CSR Foundation, spoke to these families, visited their homes, and understood their difficulties. They made a strong promise that no matter how many houses needed to be rebuilt 200, 250, or even more they would make sure every family gets a roof over their head.

Sonu Sood also shared that his sister, Malvika Sood, has been working closely on the ground in Punjab. She personally met the affected families, listened to their problems, and helped move the work forward. Malvika Sood said that Punjab is her home, and helping people during such a tough time is her responsibility. She added that they will continue their efforts until every family has a safe place to live.
