Punjab Curfew news: Amid upsurge in coronavirus cases in Punjab, the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced several stringent measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Even since Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh announced several curbs to contain the spread of coronavirus, there have been rumours regarding the enforcement of curfew in the state from 7:00 pm onwards.
On news regarding curfew in Punjab from 7:00 pm onwards, the ACS Home Punjab said that queries were coming in about whether the State Government has issued any order about enforcement of curfew in the state from 7 PM onwards.
In this regard, the ACS confirmed that he has not issued any such order for the state.
Punjab has been reporting an upsurge in daily COVID-19 cases while several experts are calling it the second peak of novel virus.
It is pertinent to mention that the state government has decided to close the Museums for the public uptill April 10,2021. Even as it has announced several curbs including night curfew and restriction on gatherings.
On Thursday, Punjab reported its highest single-day spike this year as it recorded 2,700 new cases of COVID-19 cases and 43 deaths in 24 hours.
