In Narendra Modi stadium, pavilions named Reliance End and Adani End

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Sardar Patel cricket stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium, will now be known as the Narendra Modi Stadium. Interestingly, its pavilions have been named ‘Reliance End’ and ‘Adani End’.

Soon after the pictures from IND vs ENG 3rd Test surfaced, the people started criticising the government on naming pavilions as ‘Reliance End’ and ‘Adani End’.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: World's largest cricket stadium Narendra Modi Stadium has pavilions named 'Reliance End' and 'Adani End'.

The world’s largest cricket stadium, now Narendra Modi stadium, is having a capacity of 1.32 lakh spectators. It was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present during this event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not present during the inauguration ceremony of this stadium. The first official name of Motera Stadium was Sardar Patel Stadium but now a new sports complex will be named after Sardar Patel.

On social media, Adani End and Reliance End are trending. People accuse PM Narendra Modi of favoring Adani and Ambani as and seeing their names in the stadium created a lot of buzzes.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was asked about objection by Congress leaders over renaming Motera Stadium after PM Modi.

He replied: “Has Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi ever praised the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Kevadia? Have they visited it? What more can be said?”
