Bengaluru, February 12: The IPL 2022 Auction has officially commenced. A total of 590 players, 370 Indians and 220 overseas are being auctioned at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru at ITC Gardenia.

Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained a few players, while two new franchises, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow, have selected certain players ahead of the auction. With Shikhar Dhawan being the first player to go under the hammer, the Indian opener on Saturday was picked by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 cr.
