PGGC-11 Celebrates World Entrepreneurship Day with week-long series of activities
PTC News Desk: PGGC-11 celebrated World Entrepreneurship Day with a week-long series of activities organised by the Innovation Cell in collaboration with the Department of Professional Studies and Department of Commerce.
The activities included an Intra-College Startup Idea Competition organised by Dr. Kanupriya and Dr. Rakesh, a competition on business challenges by Dr. Shaveta and Dr. Nisha, and a mentoring session on Lean Startups by Dr. Anupreet and Dr. Gurwinder. Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dr. Karuna and Dr. Chetan organised workshops on AI tools for fundraising and drone making, while Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Rita and Dr. Urmila conducted a session on addressing financial needs of startups. Dr. Saurabh and Ms. Anu, along with Dr. Kamalpreet, organised poster presentations on startup ideas.
The programmes covered various dimensions of innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the college and channelise youth energy towards productive and nation-building activities. Students participated enthusiastically in all the activities.
Prof. (Dr.) Rama Arora, Principal, congratulated the staff and motivated them to continue such initiatives. Dr. Baljeet Singh, Convener, Innovation Cell, and Dr. Tanuja Talwar, Startup Coordinator, appreciated the efforts of the organising team and emphasised the important role of teachers in channelising the energy of youth in a constructive direction.
Prominent resource persons included Mr. Aman from iTinker Lab, Mr. Ashish Mehta, COO, Innovation Mission Punjab, Mr. Rahul Mahajan (Entrepreneur), and Dr. Ajay Kumar Godara, Founder & Director, Enovate Skill.
