Punjab News: A man has been booked for allegedly raping a woman in Lalru, Mohali. According to reports, the accused had visited the victim's office for work and later on the pretext of offering her a lift in his car. Afterwards, he raped her in his car. As per report, the victim was working in a private company as a front desk executive. The accused has been identified as Hemant. Hemant had visited her office on February 5. She was sitting at the reception when the accused visited her office. Furthermore, she added that Hemant told her that he was a salesman with a cosmetic company. Hemant took victim's number so that he could contact her besides giving her his visiting card. In her complaint, the victim said that on February 5, she had left her office to go home and was waiting for a bus in Zirakpur. The accused came there and offered her a lift in his car. She further told police that she refused but Hemant continued to ask her that he would drop her. The victim accepted but when they reached near Ambala road near Lalru, the accused took the car to a deserted place and raped her.
