Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Nakodar is located in the Jalandhar district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Shiromani Akali Dal's Gurpartap Singh Wadala won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Nakodar. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Sarwan Singh Hayer of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with a margin of 18,407 votes.
