Couple abandons fourth child, burry under rocks in fear of losing government job; baby survives
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a three-day-old baby was abandoned in forest by his parents nad left to die in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara. The newborn was abandoned by the parents, who are both primary school teachers, reportedly due to fear of losing their jobs after having a fourth child.
The incident came to light on Sunday night in Nandanwadi village when a passerby spotted a newborn lying among rocks in a forested area near Road Ghat. He immediately alerted the police, who arrived and rescued the infant. The baby was first taken to a nearby health centre for treatment and later shifted to the district hospital for further care.
The couple involved, Bablu Dandoliya and Rajkumari Dandoliya, have been working as Class 3 teachers at a government primary school since 2009. Admitting to their actions, they said they abandoned the child out of fear that having a fourth baby might lead to their suspension or dismissal from service.
“The father admitted to burying the baby under a rock due to fear of losing his job. He has three other children aged 8, 6, and 4. Both parents have been arrested,” Batkakhapa Thana Incharge Anil Rathore said.
“The child is undergoing treatment at the district hospital. A case has been registered, and legal action is in progress,” Amarwara SDOP Kalyani Barkade said.
