Another death threat to Salman khan; Rs 2 crore ransom demanded, warned of grave consequences if money not paid
PTC News Desk: Adding to the slew of death threats issued to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Mumbai police has now received an anonymous message threatening the actor and demanding a ransom of Rs 2 crore. Police have registered a case against unknown person and investigation has been launched. The case has been registered under sections relating to threats of extortion and death threats. The sender has warned of grave consequences if the money is not paid.
"The accused initially sent a threatening message on MLA Zeeshan Siddique's helpline number and later made a voice call on it, in which he issued a death threat to Siddique and actor Salman Khan. This took place on Friday," an official of Nirmal Nagar police station in Mumbai said.
The development comes days after a 20 year old was arrested from Noida over death threats to the actor and Zeeshan Siddique. Earlier Mumbai police had arrested Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a 24-year-old vegetable seller from Jamshedpur, over a threat message received by Mumbai traffic police's WhatsApp helpline. The threat was issued and a ransom of Rs 5 crore was demanded.
Making an appearance on TV show Bigg Boss 18 days after Baba Siddique's murder, Salman Khan said he didn't want to be back on the show, but his work commitments brought him back. The actor said he didn't feel like meeting anyone because of the difficult situation he was going through.
The death threats being issued to the actor have been escalated in connection with the blackbug incident during the shooting of movie 'Hum saath saath hain'
Earlier this month, a former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique's office. Not to mention Siddique was a close associate of Salman Khan.
