Dubai-Bound Air India Express flight returns to Thiruvananthapuram airport after AC malfunction
PTC News Desk: A Dubai-bound Air India Express flight from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport was forced to return due to an AC malfunction. The flight took off at 1:19 p.m. and returned safely at 3:52 p.m.
Thankfully, all 174 people onboard are safe, and plans are being made to move them to Dubai on another flight as soon as possible, according to a statement from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
"IX-539 operating from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai, experienced a technical issue with the air conditioning system after take-off. The operating crew elected to carry out a precautionary landing at Thiruvananthapuram,"Air India Express spokesperson said.
"The airline promptly arranged for another aircraft to ensure a comfortable journey, accommodating all the guests for the rescheduled departure at 18:00 hours."
Air India Express is committed to offering a safe, trustworthy, and comfortable travel experience for all guests and apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delay, it added.
