IAF Chief Chaudhari reveals new Air Force ensign, emphasises capability boost amid dynamic strategic landscape
Prayagraj (UP), October 8: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari delivered a call to action on Air Force Day, urging the Indian Air Force (IAF) to adapt to the dynamic strategic environment. He emphasised the need for a flexible mindset, robust capabilities, and indigenous development to prepare for future conflicts.
In his address to air warriors, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari highlighted the changing geopolitical landscape, presenting opportunities for self-reliance and reducing import dependency. He stressed the importance of understanding evolving air power and maintaining a readiness to secure peace or engage in warfare.
The Air Chief emphasized the significance of innovation within the IAF, encouraging the integration of technology, research, and development to stay ahead of emerging threats. He also noted the importance of joint planning and the seamless integration of air, space, cyber, and ground capabilities in modern warfare.
Looking towards the future, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari challenged the IAF to become one of the world's finest air forces by 2032, aligned with India's vision to be a developed nation by 2047. He emphasized the necessity of reform, innovation, and transformation to remain relevant.
The Air Chief expressed pride in the induction of Agniveers, including women, and highlighted increased training rigor and self-education as part of their curriculum. He commended the IAF's international exercises and humanitarian efforts, showcasing its global reach and professionalism.
With the theme "IAF - Air Power Beyond Boundaries" for this year's Air Force Day, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari underscored the significance of air power's global influence and its role in maintaining peace and winning conflicts.
He concluded by emphasizing the well-being, professional development, and readiness of air warriors, describing them as the IAF's most valuable asset. He called for a culture of discipline, integrity, and vigilance in the face of emerging threats, reaffirming the IAF's commitment to defending the nation.
