If Pak is incapable of combating terrorism, it can take India's help: Rajnath Singh

PTC News Desk: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has stated that Pakistan should put an end to terrorism emanating from its soil and that if the country feels it is incapable of doing so, it can take India's help.

Rajnath Singh said in an interview on Thursday that if Pakistan uses terrorism to destabilise India, it will face the consequences.

India has repeatedly stated that it will not tolerate cross-border terrorism and that it cannot ignore terrorism in order to improve relations with Pakistan. New Delhi has also stated that Islamabad is responsible for building a peaceful environment free of terror, hostility, and violence.

Rajnath Singh stated that if Pakistan's intentions are clear, it should take decisive action against cross-border terrorism.

"If Pakistan tries to destabilise India through terrorism, it will face the consequences. Pakistan must control terrorism. If Pakistan feels it is incapable of controlling it, then India is a neighbour, and they should seek India's help. India is ready to provide any assistance to combat terrorism," he stated.

"They are our neighbours, and if their intention is clear that terrorism should be eradicated, they should do so themselves or take help from India...we can both eradicate terrorism. But this is their decision; I am simply making a suggestion," he added.
