Maha Kumbh 2025: PM Modi takes holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Maha Kumbh and took holy dip at the TriveniSangam in Prayagraj on the auspicious occasions of Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami.
Maha Kumbh, one of the largest religious congregation commenced on January 13 and will go on till February 26. Devotees from across the world reach Prayagraj to pay obeisance and commute their sins.

"In line with his commitment to promote and preserve India's spiritual and cultural heritage, the Prime Minister has consistently taken proactive steps to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites," the statement by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) read.
February 5 (today) holds immense spiritual significance in Hindu tradition, as it marks the observance of Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami—both deeply rooted in religious and historical beliefs.
On Basant Panchmi Amirt Snan, over 2.5 crore devotees took a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. In the wake of a stampede, the authorities had unveiled 'Operation 11' —- a set of measures focused on managing the crowd for the Basant Panchami rush.
After performing the customary bath ritual, PM Modi is also expected to address a gathering in Prayagraj and talk about nation building.
PM Modi's itinerary at Mahakumbh
10:30 AM—arrives in Prayagraj and heads to the DPS helipad.
Boards the Nishadraj Cruise to VIP Jetty for his visit.
Expected to spend approximately one hour at the site.
Takes a holy dip at Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.
Returns after completing his religious rituals.
