Man slaps armed 'terrorist' in Maharashtra temple, here's what happened next
Viral video: A man slapped an armed "terrorist" at a crowded temple in Maharashtra's Dhule district and a video of the incident is going viral on social media. However, it was not man's courage that made the video go viral, but the part where identity of the "terrorist" is revealed.
On Sunday evening, a masked "terrorist" wielding a weapon stormed into the crowded Swaminarayan Temple and held a man at gunpoint. This shocked the visitors, especially women and children. It was eventually found that the entire act was a mock police drill.
Prashant Kulkarni, dressed in trousers and a shirt, approached the "terrorist" who was holding a gun to the head of another individual kneeling down. He apparently became enraged when his daughter began to cry out.
"Do you have any brains?" Kulkarni can be heard yelling and hitting the "terrorist" twice.
At this point, police officers standing nearby interfered and took control of the scene. They explained everything to Kulkarni and requested him to relax. They also said the person he slapped was a police officer.
As shown in the video, Kulkarni was escorted away from the scene by a few police officers.
As the video surfaced on social media, several individuals expressed their concern, claiming that such police drills have frightened citizens. Some even said that if the masked man had been an actual terrorist, no one would have dared to confront and slap him.
