Shameful: 10-year-old girl sexually assaulted by father; victim kept pleading 'Nanna, I beg you...'
PTC Web Desk: In a shocking incident, a girl aged 10 was allegedly sexually assaulted by her father. The incident came to light from a village falling under Marikal mandal of Telangana’s Narayanpet district. As per the police, the crime took place on July 25, but was reported when girl was taken to a government hospital in Mahabubnagar for treatment.
The victim is a student of Class 5 at a government school. She stays in a government hostel in Makthal and had just returned after she was bitten by a dog. It is learnt that the victim was alone at home on the afternoon of July 25 as her mother had gone to work. Her father, reportedly drunk, came home after tending goats and allegedly raped her.. The girl kept pleading “Nanna, I beg you, don’t do anything to me,” but the accused went ahead with the crime, the police said. After hearing her screams, locals gathered and found the girl bleeding. They reported the matter to her mother.
The girl was immediately taken to a local RMP. However, her condition worsened and she was shifted to Marikal government hospital and later referred to Mahabubnagar Government General Hospital. However, doctors initially refused treatment and demanded a police complaint.
Her mother lodged a complaint and a case was registered under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused is absconding.
