Tamil Nadu twin explosion: 13 die after blast in firecracker factories
Twin explosions in Tamil Nadu: At least 13 people lost their lives in two different blasts that ripped through firecracker factories in Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar on Tuesday.
The first explosion was believed to have occurred in Virudhunagar district, and fire department officials were dispatched to the scene.
A second explosion occurred in another unit in the same district's Kammapatti village.
The incident occurred while the samples were being tested.
The retail shops had a legal license, according to the police, and an investigation was underway.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed his condolences for the deaths and provided a compensation of Rs 3 lakh for the deceased's families.
