PTC Web Desk: Shocking details have surfaced in a triple murder case from Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district after the police arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly killing his wife and two young daughters and burying their bodies inside his house. The accused, identified as Farooq, was taken into custody after he confessed to the crime during questioning.

The police said the incident took place on the night of December 10. Farooq allegedly shot his wife, Tahira (32), dead and later killed their two minor daughters, aged 14 and 7, who had witnessed the murder.

According to the police, the bodies of all three victims were buried inside the house where the family lived.

During interrogation, Farooq reportedly told investigators that he imposed strict restrictions on his wife and did not allow her to step outside without wearing a burqa. The police said tensions between the couple escalated after an argument over household expenses about a month ago.

Tahira had allegedly complained that Farooq did not give her enough money to run the household. After the dispute, she went to her parents’ home in Muzaffarnagar’s Nara village without wearing a burqa. This angered Farooq.

SP Narendra Pratap Singh said the accused claimed he was enraged by her decision and shot her when she returned. He then allegedly killed the two daughters to prevent them from revealing the crime.

The brutality of the murders came to light during the investigation. The police said one of the girls’ bodies was found with an eye gouged out. A blood-stained wooden stick was also recovered from the house, which investigators believe was used in the assault.

Farooq worked as a cook at wedding functions and lived separately from his parents in the same village. He stayed with his wife and their five children. The police said he was not on good terms with his parents.

Suspicion arose when Farooq’s father, Daud, noticed that Tahira and two of her daughters had been missing for nearly six days. When questioned, Farooq claimed they were staying in a rented house. Unsatisfied with the explanation, Daud alerted the police, expressing fear that his son had killed them.

Following the tip-off, the police searched the house and uncovered the buried bodies, leading to Farooq’s arrest. Further investigation is underway.
