New guidelines for CTU inter-state bus service

New guidelines have been received from the Govt. of India in regard to the Inter-State Bus service of Chandigarh Transport Undertaking buses and other State Transport Undertakings. Administration has decided allow to resume inter-state bus service of Chandigarh Transport Undertaking buses and other State Transport Undertakings (STUs) with effect from 16th September, 2020. The HVAC / AC buses are also allowed to operate with COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. The approval is accorded subject to the SoP to be maintained by the buses as a preventative measures to spread Pandemic of CoVID-19. Here are the guidelines: - The sanitization of all the buses proposed to be operated to be done. - No boarding/de-boarding of passenger other than ISBT 17/43 will be allowed in U.T. area. -The buses will be operated with 50% seating capacity keeping in view maintaining social distancing norms. -No ticket booking will be allowed at ISBT – 17/43 counters. Either it should be done with in bus or through online. -The passengers are encouraged to download “Aarogya Setu App”. -No passenger will be allowed to de-board the bus without the mask and concerned crew of concerned CTU will ensure that passenger wears mask during the journey and maintain social distancing. Label as “Wearing Mask Mandatory” be fixed inside the buses. Also Read |Delhi HC allows breath analyser test on air traffic controllers -In order to avoid cashless transaction for the parking fee at ISBT -43 and ISBT-17 at Chandigarh. The respective STU will ensure the sufficient balance in the RFID tag. In case of any RFID related issue, Station supervisors of ISBT-17 and ISBT-43 may be contacted. -PTC News
