Patiala: Prisoner under treatment escapes from hospital
Patiala, October 1: Punjab police administration once again came in the limelight as a prisoner from Patiala is reported to have escaped from Rajindra Hospital on Monday morning.
The accused has been identified as Amrik Singh, against whom a case has been registered against NDPS Act.

Notably, Amrik Singh had a fight with another prisoner in the jail, during which he was injured and was brought to Rajindra hospital on Saturday morning for the treatment.
Meanwhile, while undergoing X-ray, Amrik Singh escaped the X-ray ward.
Confirming this, Jail Superintendent Manjit Singh Tiwana said that an investigation has been started regarding the negligence of the employees who accompanied the prisoner.
