PTC News Desk: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, won a motion of trust in the Delhi Assembly. 54 of the 62 AAP MLAs were present during the voting.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that no AAP MLAs have defected. "Two MLAs are in jail, some unwell and some out of station," he added.

The Delhi chief minister stated that his government has a majority in the House, but that a motion of confidence was required because the BJP was "trying to poach party MLAs and topple his government".

Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal claimed that several of his party's MLAs told him how they were approached and offered money to switch sides by "BJP people".

While addressing the House, the Delhi Chief Minister stated that the AAP is the biggest challenger to the BJP, which is why it is being attacked from all sides.

"The way they (BJP) have attacked the AAP and arrested our ministers is well known all over the country. They believe that people are fools, but they are not. People are now holding discussions in parks, asking 'Does PM Modi want to crush Arvind Kejriwal'? Even children are asking this question because they have arrested so many of our ministers," Arvind Kejriwal stated.

He also claimed that the BJP was impeding the work of his government by seizing control of the services department and the bureaucracy.

"They claim to be Ram bhakts, but they stopped providing medicines to the poor in our hospitals. Did Lord Ram ask that medicines for the poor be stopped? Kejriwal said.
