Gujarat election results 2022 LIVE UPDATES: The counting of votes for the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022 started at 8 am at 37 centres.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is confident of retaining power in Gujarat, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is hoping to make a strong debut, and the Congress, which has been absent from the hectic campaigning, is hoping for a favourable verdict.
Gujarat's assembly elections were held in two stages on December 1 and 5. By the end of the second phase of the Gujarat elections, the approximate voter turnout was 59.11 percent. Gujarat had an overall turnout of 63.14 percent during the first phase of voting.
Exit polls in Gujarat have indicated a clear victory for the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) days after the election results.

The BJP has ruled Gujarat for 27 years, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi serving as Chief Minister for the longest time before becoming Prime Minister.
In the 2017 assembly elections, the Congress party fought hard against the ruling BJP. However, AAP may sabotage Congress's chances by stealing a significant vote share in their favour.
