Punjab: Nabha govt college student sexually assaulted by three; 2 arrested

As per the victim's account, on March 27 around 11.30 am, she was enticed to the upper chambers of the Principal's office by the accused under false pretenses. Upon reaching the chamber at approximately 1 pm, after lectures had concluded, she found two unidentified persons present there. Allegedly, they locked the door and sexually assaulted her, with one of the accused threatening her of dire consequences if she reported the matter to ayone. 

The police are investigating how the perpetrators (two of them were outsiders) gained access to the college premises and executed the crime. Statements from college staff will be taken as part of the investigation. Further investigations are on.

PTC Web Desk: In a distressing development, a student of Government Ripudaman College in Nabha was reportedly subjected to a gang rape within the college premises, despite the presence of the Principal and staff on the campus. The police have lodged an FIR in the case, albeit 12 days after its occurrence. Two accused have been arrested while one is still at large. 

The FIR has been lodged against Davinder Singh and two others.
