Punjab: BSF and Punjab Police recover 2.992 kg heroin from Tarn Taran’s Kalash Havelian
PTC News Desk: A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, on Saturday recovered another nefarious attempt of smugglers in Punjab’s Tarn Taran’s Kalash Havelian village.
The drone and consignment of contraband item was recovered on the outskirts of Punjab’s Tarn Taran following a search operation launched by BSF and Punjab Police on specific information.
On 29th October 2023, during evening hours on specific information regarding the presence of narcotics items, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police on the outskirts of Kalash Havelian village in Tarn Taran.
During the search operation at around 07:30 pm, Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police recovered one blue packet containing three small packets of contraband items, in semi-burnt condition suspected to be heroin (Gross wt - 2.992 Kg) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, along with 04 rounds of .30 mm (inside the packet) attached with a ring for hanging it with drone from the farming field adjacent to Kalash Havelian village in Tarn Taran.
Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics through drone was foiled by BSF and Punjab Police.
