Punjab Government to recruit over 1,690 Assistant Linemen
Bhagwant Mann-led government on Saturday announced bumper vacancies and said that they will recruit over 1,690 people. The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) notified 1,690 vacancies for the post of Assistant Lineman.

Powercom issuing a public notice in this regard said, advertisements regarding category, eligibility, pay scale, selection process and other terms and conditions will be issued after April 30. Interested candidates can visit Powercom's website www.pspcl.in for further update.
Earlier, CM Bhagwant Mann had promised 25,000 government jobs in Punjab. Of these, 10,000 would be in the Punjab Police alone. Apart from this 10,300 in Education, 4837 in Health, 1690 in Powercom, 997 in Higher Education, 990 in Technical Education, 803 in Rural Development, 319 in Medical Education, 280 in Housing, 250 in Animal Husbandry and 158 in Water Supply , 176 Excise posts will be filled in Food Supply, 197 in Water Resources, 148 in Jail Department, 82 in Social Security and 45 in Social Justice.
It may be recalled that unemployment was a major issue in this time's Punjab Assembly elections. When the government was formed, all the parties had promised to provide employment to the youth.
