The farmers’ agitation for repeal of three agriculture laws introduced by the Union government is still on. Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and other states are protesting at various borders in Delhi in the bitter cold and demanding repeal of these laws. Due to the ongoing agitation of farmers, the railways has cancelled, short-terminated and diverted many trains in Punjab. Two months on, passenger and freight trains back on track in Punjab | India  News,The Indian Express Officials said that consequently, the 05612 Amritsar-Darbhanga express special train will also remain cancelled on January 15. The 02715 Nanded-Amritsar express train will be short-terminated in Ambala on January 13 and subsequently, the 02716 Amritsar-Nanded express train will short-originate from Ambala on January 15 and remain partially cancelled on the Ambala-Amritsar-Ambala route due to farmers protest. The 02904 Amritsar-Mumbai Central express special train will be diverted to run via Amritsar-Taran Taran-Beas on January 13. The farmers protest has intensified on the borders of Delhi. The farmers are adamant to get the three laws repealed; Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. -PTC News
