'Last 48 hours extremely difficult': Harsimrat Kaur Badal gets emotional, says 'attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal well planned conspiracy
PTC News Desk: Shiromani Akali Dal MP from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Saturday said that the attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal was a well-planned conspiracy and that the attackers are all guru-dokhi.
Addressing a gathering at the state-level event in Isru near Ludhiana, Harsimrat Kaur Badal struggling to hold back tears said the last 48 hours have been extremely difficult, asserting that such attacks would not dampen the spirit of Sukhbir or party workers.
"I’m sorry, but I am very emotional today because the last 48 hours have been extremely difficult for me and my family. I was not supposed to be here today. Sukhbir Ji was supposed to be here. But look at the cowardly attack that was carried out on him," Harsimrat Kaur Badal said.
"Sukhbir Ji was attacked when he had gone to our holiest shrine to offer prayers for peace and prosperity in Punjab. Whoever attacked a humble servant who had come to the Guru’s house to offer prayers cannot be a true Gursikh. A person who carries out such a cowardly attack is not a Gursikh, but an enemy of the Guru,” she further added.
“I have full faith in Guru Sahib. From where he came back after seeking blessings, Sukhbir will return even stronger. This is the fight for Punjab, and Sukhbir can face many such attacks,” SAD MP said.
SAD MP from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal took to her social media and called the attack a well-planned political conspiracy that has been upholding a conspiracy since 2015 to disturb peace in Punjab.
"Whenever the Shiromani Akali Dal makes efforts to maintain peace and communal harmony in Punjab, anti-Guru forces try even harder to divide us and spread hatred," she said.
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked by a man disguised as Nihang Singh in Nanded, Maharashtra on Thursday.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the attack was carried out by a man disguised as Nihang Singh. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
A security personnel deployed in Badal's security was also injured in the attack.
