Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Congress Santokh Singh Bhalaipur is nominated as the MLA candidate from the Baba Bakala constituency. He is a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. In 2017, he was elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the first time by defeating Dalbir Singh Tong of the Aam Aadmi Party with a margin of 6,587 votes. Presently, he is a member of the Public Accounts Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha (2018-19). He served as the Sarpanch of the Village, General Secretary of District Congress Committee, Tarn Taran, Director Market Committee Khadoor Sahib & General Secretary Kisaan and Mazdoor Cell of Punjab and Member of Petition & Welfare Committees of Punjab Vidhan Sabha (2017-18).
