Sukhbir Singh Badal visits Ghazipur Border; meets Rakesh Tikait, assures him support

Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today visited Ghazipur border to extend his support to the farmers. Sukhbir Singh Badal reached Ghazipur BorderHe praised farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and said that his party will extend all the support and they will stand strong till the Centre repeals the farm laws. He also offered water brought from Sri Darbar Sahib to Rakesh Tikait. SAD President Mr. Badal said that all political parties should rise above partisanship and come out in favor of farmers. Adding that farmers of all parts of the country are united on this issue. Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal also honored BKU Leader Rakesh Tikait. Mr. Badal showed warmth and affection to Tikait and also said that he was touched when he saw BKU leader in tears and this condition of farmers is unacceptable to him and the party, so they will fight along with the farmers in this struggle. Farmers have been protesting at Delhi borders. Despite 11 rounds of meeting between the protesting farmers and the Centre, no conclusion has come out so far. No date has been fixed for the next meeting.
The farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
