Bengaluru, August 20: Amid the vibrant tech landscape and notorious traffic jams of Bengaluru, an amusing incident unfolded as a man, confined to a stationary Uber amidst the city's bustling chaos, received an unexpected message from the ride-hailing company.

Bengaluru's tech hub status and its equally infamous traffic congestion provided the backdrop to this comical episode. The user's screenshot of the Uber notification was shared on Twitter, accompanied by the caption, "Brother, this is not an emergency; this is Bengaluru traffic."
Earlier, another amusing incident involving Uber emerged, where a woman managed to secure a ride for a mere Rs 6. This revelation sparked astonishment among social media users, particularly those familiar with Bengaluru's commuting struggles.
On X, a user posted a screenshot revealing an exceptionally low fare of Rs 6, a significant reduction from the original fare of Rs 46.24. The price drop was attributed to the application of a promotional code.
Meanwhile, a report uncovered the staggering economic toll inflicted by Bengaluru's traffic congestion. The city reportedly endures an annual loss of Rs 19,725 crore due to traffic delays, congestion, signal stoppages, time wastage, fuel consumption, and related factors.
Conducted by traffic expert M N Sreehari and his team, the study delves into issues ranging from road planning and flyover construction to traffic management and infrastructural deficiencies, painting a comprehensive picture of the city's transportation challenges.
