UP Elections 2022: Cong' Amroha candidate joins SP, alleges 'communication gap' in party

Amroha (Uttar Pradesh), February 12: In a major blow to Congress in Uttar Pradesh, the party's candidate from the Amroha assembly seat Salim Khan joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Friday, ahead of the second phase of elections in the state. Khan alleged a "communication gap" in the grand old party. "I have joined SP as there's communication gap in Congress, created by 2nd-line leadership which doesn't want ground-level workers to meet national leadership. I wanted to meet Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, but 2nd line leadership didn't let me," the ex-Congress leader stated.
