Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections: Polling for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh elections 2022 has begun. Voters, despite fog and cold weather, stepped out of their homes to exercise their franchise. Meanwhile, a bridegroom from Muzaffarnagar exercised his right to vote on the day of his wedding and encouraged voters in the state to cast vote in the Assembly elections. Dressed in a sehra and wedding attire, groom Ankur Balyan said that he will take his baarat after casting his vote. Ankur along with his family, arrived at the polling centre to cast vote in the morning. ”Pehle matadaan, uske baad bahu, uske baad sab kaam,” said the groom as he talked to media outside the polling booth. As amusing as the site was, it is not the first time grooms and brides have come to exercise their vote before or right after the marriage.
