Dubai floods: Dubai is experiencing an unprecedented deluge on Tuesday, receiving a staggering amount of rainfall equivalent to its annual average within a single day. The aftermath was swift and dramatic, as flash flooding wreaked havoc across the city. Runways at Dubai International Airport were submerged, and streets turned into rushing torrents.

In the recent advisory issued by Dubai International Airport, authorities urges passengers to avoid coming to the airport unless absolutely necessary due to unprecedented weather conditions in the country.

Flights are experiencing delays and diversions, and passengers are advised to contact their airlines for the latest flight status updates.

Dubai Airports reassures passengers that they are diligently working to restore operations amid very challenging conditions.

Meanwhile, Emirates Airlines has announced the suspension of travel procedures for passengers departing from Dubai starting from 8:00 am on Wednesday, April 17th, until midnight on April 18th.

This decision is due to operational challenges arising from adverse weather and road conditions.

The inclement weather was not confined to Dubai alone; neighboring countries also experienced heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding. = Bahrain also witnessed scenes of chaos as vehicles became stranded on flooded roads, underscoring the widespread impact of the extreme weather conditions across the region.
