24-yr-old woman killed by family in a case of honour killing Uttar Pradesh
24-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her family members in a suspected case of honour killing. The incident took place in Mundet Kala village in Shamli district, police said today. After Satwati’s family members suspected the woman had an illicit relationship with her brother-in-law they killed her, Superintendent of Police Ajaypal Sharma told reporters. Her father and other family members confronted her when they came to know about the relationship and stabbed her to death on Friday. The body was dumped in a field, Sharma said. Four people, including her father and brother, confessed to have killed the woman to uphold the family honour, he said. The police recovered a car and sharp weapons used in the crime. -PTC News
